I started in 2003 building web-based ordering and field-service scheduling for local businesses, CRM before I knew to call it that. My first paying clients were Tail Bangers and a local home inspection company, and both still call me.
Twenty-some years later, I'm a senior technical architect at a Salesforce consultancy serving federal programs. KatulkaDesign is where I keep building for the businesses that trusted me first: Salesforce, retail EDI, commerce, and AI automation.
That's the short list. If it moves data, takes an order, or keeps a business running, I can probably build it.
First paid builds, at nineteen: online ordering and field-service scheduling.
First Salesforce work. Nine certifications since.
Joined CRM Science as its sixth hire and helped grow it to thirty people. Six Dreamforce talks, AppExchange packages, and Summit Partner status along the way.
Moved into federal Salesforce work. Now a senior technical architect on a large multi-team program.
Through KatulkaDesign, orders and sales data flowing to thousands of grocery store locations and to Chewy, on Salesforce, SPS Commerce, and BigCommerce.
“He takes the time to understand your business and achieves results sometimes beyond my own expectations.” Lisa St. Clair, President and CEO, Tail Bangers
“One of the most persevering, poised and ingenious Salesforce professionals I have ever worked with.” Frank Cabreja, senior architect and president
I'm married with three boys, and most weekends you'll find us at a baseball field or a swim meet. I love staying healthy and getting outside: CrossFit, time in nature, and ten years of riding Bike MS.
Most of what I know about building things that last, I learned at home.
Fractional and senior. A monthly retainer or a metered engagement, one architect from the first diagram to production, and a strong bias toward systems a small team can actually run.
I'm local to West Chester, and you'll usually find me at Mid-Atlantic Dreamin' in Philadelphia each spring.
